Capybara Painting

It took me around 7 hours to finish this painting over the course of 3 days. It was a semi last minute show piece for Tr!ckster gallery in Berkeley. I've always used poster paint but I've never used gouache before (they are very similiar but poster paint is more forgiving and more like an opaque watercolor) Gouache however have a better pigment.

Holbein gouache
Walnut Hollow Basswood

I didn't really prime the wood or anything, but after I'm done, I coated the painting with Matte Finish clear spray. Aside from protecting the paint, it also helps to prevent the edges from the wood to chip off easily.
